On Wednesday evening, April 23, 2025, a spectacular accident occurred on federal road 317 near Unterkastel. A 25-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a rock face. The young man suffered minor injuries during the collision and was immediately taken to the hospital with the emergency services.

Because of the accident recording, the federal road had to be closed at short notice. The driver's car was towed after the incident. The amount of property damage is still unknown.
