Motorway heroes save seven orphaned duck on the A 5!

On Friday evening, May 2, a heart -warming rescue operation on the A 5 near the “Steingrund” parking lot. The South Hesse motorway police were alerted when several duck küchen were spotted on the busy road. With quick action, the officials managed to save seven orphaned chicks from the dangerous sideways and hand them over to the care of an animal shelter.

Sadly, the police also found a duck over a hundred meters away, which was probably the mother of the little ducks. This tragic fact makes the salvation of the chicks all the more remarkable. As fast as life can pass on the highway, a little act of kindness became a big story here!
