Stolen lighting unit: Police are looking for witnesses
theft of a lighting unit - loss of an important resource for the community
On Friday, July 5th, 2024, an event took place in Rapperath, at which an adjacent meadow area was used as a parking lot. In order to adequately illuminate this area, several CAMEO ZENIT B200 lighting units were used. But during the event one of these lights was stolen, which caused property damage of 1500 euros.
The loss of a lighting unit may appear like a minor offense at first glance, but this can have serious consequences for the community. Sufficient lighting is not only important for events, but also for the safety of pedestrians and drivers in the area.
The theft of lighting units is unfortunately not an isolated case and can lead to considerable financial damage. It is therefore important that witnesses who have observed something suspicious report to the police to prevent such incidents in the future.
It is unfortunate that such an event clouds the positive atmosphere of an event and the community is financially burdened. Hopefully the theft of the lighting unit will be informed and future incidents of this kind can be prevented.
