Fraudsters on the phone: Police warn of new stitches in Rheinpfalz!

On Monday, May 19, 2025, two attempts to fraud were reported by the police in Ludwigshafen. A 60-year-old man from Speyer received a call from someone who pretended to be an AOK employee and asked for personal data. In another incident, an 87-year-old woman from Schifferstadt contacted a false police officer who asked her about her valuables. Fortunately, both called up, which caused them to suffer no financial damage.

The police urgently warns of such attempts to fraud and gives important tips: When calling suspects, put on immediately, do not reveal any personal data on the phone and do not allow strangers to access devices. If you receive a similar call, you should definitely inform your local police station or contact the online guard of the police at www.Polizei.rlp.de/de/onlinewache/. The police prevention experts are available on 0621 963-21177 to provide comprehensive information on protection against phone fraud.
