Drunk drivers cause heavy crash on A20 near Grimmen!

On Sunday, May 18, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred at around 6:00 p.m. on the federal highway 20, just behind the Graimen Ost driveway in the direction of Rostock. A 61-year-old driver of a Volkswagen Touran caused the incident when he drove on his left lane to enable other vehicles to drive up. But the shock came later!

When the police arrived, the officials discovered a VW Passat in which two German men were sitting. A breath alcohol test revealed alarming values: the 39-year-old vehicle owner showed 2.38 per thousand, while his 42-year-old passenger even had 2.44 per thousand! The accident left property damage of around 8,000 euros, and the vehicle that was not ready to drive had to be recovered by a towing company.
