Fire in the apartment building: Police are looking for witnesses in Lankow!

In the early morning hour of today, a fire broke out in the basement of an apartment building in the Lankow district of Schwerin. The fire brigade and police were quickly alerted after concerned witnesses noticed a strong smoke development. The emergency services found the fire stove on Edgar-Bentner-Straße and immediately started the extinguishing work.

First estimates put the property damage at around 5,000 euros. Fortunately, all residents remained intact, and the apartments are still habitable. The criminal police call up the population for help and requests information on the background of the fire as well as possible causes.
