Fire in Bochum's apartment: residents saved, nordring closed!

In the early afternoon of April 11, 2025, a fire broke out in an apartment on the Nordring in Bochum. The fire brigade was alerted at 2:30 p.m., and forces quickly moved out of the city center, Wattenscheid and the Bochum Mitte volunteer fire brigade. The alarm was confirmed on site: a resident could be saved by the rescuers and taken to the hospital. Other residents of the building were also brought to safety while a neighbor was transported to the hospital for observation.

The extinguishing work was challenging, and due to the use, the nordring between Dorstener Straße and Herner Straße had to be completely blocked. The Bochum fire brigade did everything possible to control the fire and defuse the situation.
