In the Wittmund region, a number of incidents cause excitement. In Friedeburg, unknown perpetrators became active and scratched a gray Renault in a parking lot in Auricher. They also stamped in the front tires of the vehicle with a pointed object. The damage took place between May 14 and 20, 2025. The police asks witnesses for information on 04462 9110.

On Tuesday there was an accident between a car and a cyclist in Friedeburg, in which the 76-year-old cyclist was slightly injured to the hospital. The 19-year-old driver had disregarded the cyclist's right of way. Shortly afterwards in Stedesdorf, a 40-year-old Toyota driver was involved, whose collision with a BMW caused a serious accident. The BMW landed in the ditch after the impact, while the person who caused the accident was seriously injured and the 49-year-old BMW driver was slightly injured. Both had to be hospitalized.
