Cops in dialogue: Heppenheim students get to know the police up close

On Monday morning, May 19, around 100 pupils of the 10th grades met at the Starkenburg-Gymnasium in Heppenheim for the first event of the dialogue series "Cops in the Dialogue-Police and School in the exchange" in South Hesse. The aim of the exchange is to deepen understanding between the young people and the police and the challenges with which emergency services are faced with awareness.

The event started with a captivating presentation that highlighted the central values ​​of the police and the topic of violence against emergency services. Police officers from the protective and criminal police reported on their everyday life and were available to the young participants for questions. This initiative is part of the Hessian state government's respect, which aims to combat growing violence against emergency services and to strengthen trust in the security authorities.
