On Thursday afternoon, two customers were victims of the brazen in a grocery discounter on the old railway line in Bockhorn. A 56-year-old man from Varel and an 83-year-old woman from Zetel had to be without her wallets during shopping. The police ask witnesses to report relevant information on 04451-9230.

In addition, a mailbox from the Varel secondary school was stolen on Arngaster Straße between Tuesday afternoon and Thursday morning. The police are also looking for witnesses who can help clarify the theft.

Another incident occurred late Thursday afternoon: A 14-year-old scooter driver from Bockhorn noticed the police officers because his vehicle had no valid insurance cover and drove faster than the permitted 25 km/h. Now he is on trial because of violation of the compulsory insurance law and driving without a license.
