In the night from August 7, 2024, there was a series of thefts in Edermünde that could affect the feeling of security of the residents. Unknown perpetrators opened several parked vehicles and stolen cash and bank cards between 9:00 p.m. and 6:45 a.m.

According to the previous investigations, the thieves had an easy game, since many of the parked cars were either unclasp or insufficiently secured. A total of four vehicles were affected, and in one case a stolen bank card was even used for illegal purchases.
