A dramatic incident shook Altenhagen on Monday afternoon: A 55-year-old man jumped out of the window of his apartment on the third floor and succumbed to his serious injuries. The shocking reason for his desperate jump: he had previously poured his 23-year-old son over with hot liquid. The victim was seriously, but not life -threatening.

emergency calls about the injured person in front of an apartment building in Alexanderstrasse reached the police and fire brigade around 11 a.m. Despite immediate resuscitation measures by the rescue workers, the man could not be saved on site. His son was immediately flown to a special clinic with a rescue helicopter. The investigation into the background of this tragic incident is underway.
