On April 25, 2025 at 10:35 a.m., a serious traffic accident with three vehicles occurred in downtown Pasewalk. A 55-year-old German driver stopped with his Opel at a roundabout when a 69-year-old Polish Mercedes driver also had to stop behind him. The 44-year-old German driver of a Renault transporter noticed too late that the two cars had stopped and crashed into the Mercedes.

The collision led to the Mercedes driver slightly injured, while his 66-year-old passenger, also from Poland, suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to the hospital. The entire property damage amounts to around 6,200 euros. Both, the Mercedes and the Renault Transporter, were no longer ready to drive after the crash and had to be recovered by a towing service. During the rescue measures and the accident recording, traffic was diverted at the scene of the accident.
