On May 14, 2025, a drone over a military security area in Wilhelmshaven caused excitement. At 2:50 p.m. the police received a hint and initiated immediate investigations. A commercially available DJI drone, whose 20-year-old pilot from Schortens stated, was located to carry out test lies for film production. The police confiscated the drone and the man's mobile phone and initiated an investigation into a possible violation of the Criminal Code and the Air Transport Act.
