On Friday, April 4, the school management of the Mitte comprehensive school in Duisburg received a threatening letter from an unknown sender that contained right -wing radical statements and hinted off crimes for Monday, April 7th. The Duisburg police were informed on the same day and immediately initiated investigations by the state security.

On April 6, the school received another threatening letter, which also affects 13 other schools in the area. In close cooperation with the Düsseldorf district government, it was decided to express the attendance lessons at the schools concerned for April 7. The investigation into the identity of the author and the background of the threats continues. The police emphasize that such threats have serious consequences and are consistently pursued.
