E-scooter driver seriously injured: Police are looking for witnesses in Garbsen!

On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, a serious accident occurred in Garbsen: a 32-year-old driver of a small van covered a 49-year-old e-scooter driver who used the sidewalk on Hermann-Löns-Straße. The woman fell in the collision and was partially trapped under the van. Immediately after the accident, she was taken to the hospital where she is treated.

The Hanover police are now investigating the driver for negligent bodily harm. Processes are also underway against the e-scooter driver because, contrary to the regulations, she drove the sidewalk-there is also a suspicion of a violation of the compulsory insurance law. Witnesses of the incident are urgently sought to bring light into the dark of the sad event.
