Eicklingen: youth fire brigade weekend full of action and excitement!

On Saturday, April 26th, the exciting youth fire brigade weekend of the Eicklingen youth fire brigade started with a mixture of theoretical lessons and exciting practical exercises. Under the watchful eyes of the supervisors, the young people mastered various alarm scenarios, in which they saved "injured"-depicted with cuddly toys. All were particularly excited when combating a simulated barn fire, in which respiratory protection dummies and hose lines were used.

After a night session with thermal imaging cameras and a breakfast together on Sunday morning, it got serious: a fire in an industrial building required rapid action. The young fire brigade workers quickly built up an effective water supply and took up fire fighting from several pipes. The weekend ended after a further dramatic rescue in the forest area and presented an intensive learning experience for everyone involved.
