In the early morning hours of April 17, 2025, between 03:50 and 5:00 a.m., a bakery branch in Renthofstrasse in Schmalkalden was hit by unknown people. The perpetrators tried in vain to break open a door, which led to a considerable property damage of 5,000 euros. Fortunately, the intruders did not succeed in penetrating the business. The Suhl State Police Inspection is now investigating and looking for information from the population.
