Burglary with consequences: Kiosk thief injures itself when fleeing!

In Bremen-Neustadt, a 33-year-old man was surprised on the night of May 5, 2025 during the break-in. At around 03:35 a.m., witnesses heard a loud clink in Langemarckstrasse and saw how the perpetrator entered the kiosk through a crazy window. Previously, he had accidentally demolished the window of a neighboring pizzeria with a gully cover. After he had reached the kiosk, he took several boxes of cigarettes.

But the attempt to escape failed: the window window of the kiosk tore off and fell on his foot, which injured the burglar. Alarmed police forces quickly arrived at the scene and placed the man with the stolen goods. Because of his foot injury, he was taken to a hospital for treatment. The police have filed a complaint for particularly severe theft, the investigation continues to run.
