Use of the Wetter fire brigade: Accident and smoke development under control!

On Friday morning there was a spectacular traffic accident between a Volkswagen and a Kia in the intersection of Schmiedestraße/Kirchstrasse. The fire brigade was alerted at 7:50 a.m. after an e-call had been received by the district control center. Fortunately, all three people affected - two adults and one child - were able to leave the vehicles independently. Two of them suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. The fire brigade secured the accident site and removed the damaged vehicle with muscle power from the roadside, while the other car was absorbed by a towing service.

In the evening, the units of Wengern, Esborn and old weather moved out again, this time to an apartment building on Osterfeldstrasse. Residents reported several triggered smoke alarms and smoke in the stairwell. Through quick action, the emergency services managed to reach the resident on the balcony and open the door. Fortunately, she could stay on site after the burnt food was removed from the stove and deleted. The apartment was then freed from the smoke with a fan and the use was completed after 45 minutes.
