Eis automatic machine broken up: Police are looking for witnesses for 10,000-euro damage

A attentive witness discovered a broken ice cream machine on Lübbecker Strasse on Monday morning, May 5th, around 6:30 a.m. and immediately alerted the police. Unknown perpetrators had broken up the front of the machine with a tool, which resulted in considerable damage to property of around 10,000 euros.

The thieves stole a cash box from the machine. The investigation by the Herford criminal police is underway, whereby the evaluation of the surveillance videos is still ongoing. Notes from the population are welcome; Witnesses are asked to report on 05221/8880.
