On Thursday evening, May 22nd, watchful witnesses observed a bicycle theft in Schleiermacherstrasse and immediately called the police. Thanks to the precise description of the suspect, the officials of the 1st police station were able to arrest the 28-year-old on site.

The following day, the arrested person was brought before the investigative judge at the request of the Darmstadt public prosecutor. This immediately issued an arrest warrant and ordered the pre -trial detention. The case shows how important attentive citizens are for security in the city.
