Accident in Lüdinghausen: Cyclists injured in traffic accident

A sunny day in Lüdinghausen took an unfortunate turn for a 71-year-old Pedelec driver when he was hit by another cyclist on the bike path. The 59-year-old man had overlooked the older cyclist when leaving a property entrance, which led to a collision.

The accident occurred on Thursday (June 4th) on Wolfsberger Straße when the 71-year-old Lüdinghausener went on his day trip on the bike path. Despite the collision, the senior only suffered minor injuries, which, however, had to be cared for.

The 59-year-old cyclist who was responsible for the accident found the officials in the breath. A breath alcohol test, which was carried out, was positive, which is why a blood sample was arranged. The cyclist must now expect criminal proceedings because driving under the influence of alcohol is both dangerous and punishable.

This incident in Lüdinghausen emphasizes the importance of mutual consideration in road traffic, especially between cyclists. It serves as a memory of how quickly a moment of carelessness can lead to serious consequences that put a person's life in danger.
