On Friday, April 11th, a shocking traffic accident occurred at around 10:20 a.m. in the Nordwalder Straße/Mühlenstraße crossing in Steinfurt. A 73-year-old cyclist was on the way to the city center when a car that initially drove in the same direction and then turned right into Mühlenstrasse, obviously overlooked him. There was a dramatic collision in which the cyclist fell and mild injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, an older car with a foreign license plate, continued his journey without stopping and leaving the injured cyclist behind. The police have started the investigation and are looking for information on the fleeting vehicle.
