On Friday, May 17, 2025, a traffic accident occurred in Soest, which for a 68-year-old cyclist was not without consequences. Around 12:00 p.m., the woman wanted to cross the Grandweg from Klosterstrasse to drive to Burghofgasse. While she drove behind a waiting car, controlled by a 78-year-old Soesterin, put back the driver to make room for oncoming cars.

the car driver overlooked the cyclist, who was currently at the level of the vehicle. As a result, the cyclist's leg was caught between the bike and the car, which led to minor injuries. She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Fortunately, both vehicles were saved.
