On Sunday, April 6th, the stadium on Hafenstrasse on Hafenstrasse was coming up to the third division club Rot-Weiss Essen and Hansa Rostock. The Essen police had prepared intensively for the game in advance and carried out comprehensive control measures on the B224.
When checking vehicles with Rostock fans, the police found seven violations of the masking ban and a violation of the Narcotics Act. In addition, two cases of protection arms were discovered. The police granted the people concerned and prohibited them from visiting the stadium.
