In a dramatic incident in Bückeburg, a 23-year-old man was arrested in his apartment. Officials from the Bückeburg police carried out the arrest due to the urgent suspicion of the intentional arson. The incident occurred when the police tried to contain a fire in the engine compartment of a Kia car with a hand-fire extinguisher. The Bückeburg fire brigade then took over further fire fighting. Despite the serious suspicion, the Bückeburger was released again after the police measures were completed because the Bückeburg public prosecutor's office saw no reasons for detention.
