Fire brigade Ense: Large exercise in Hünningen - saving from burning building!
On Thursday evening, May 15th, a spectacular exercise by the ENSE fire brigade took place in the historic "Haus Füchen" estate in Hünningen. Under the direction of Thomas Meier, Michael Peck and Andreas Vetter, the fire brings 1 from Bremen and 3 - consisting of the extinguishing groups Höingen, Hünningen and Waltringen - came together to train important operational scenarios and to optimize cooperation.
The focus of the exercise was the rescue of people from smoky areas. A total of seven "injuries" had to be recovered under respiratory protection. With the aerial ladder, also scenarios such as the rescue of high buildings were rehearsed, while a water supply was installed from the Ruhr to the practice site. In order to coordinate the missions efficiently, the firefighters formed four sections of operations and even used a drone to keep an overview of the situation. After successfully completing the exercise, a debriefing took place in the tool shed to discuss the findings and to appreciate the achievements of everyone involved.
