The fire of straw bales in Welver Dinker

Last night around 02:40 a.m. the fire brigade and police were called to a field east of the street Am Feldgraben in Welver-Dinker. There around 35 straw bales caught fire in full extent. The fire brigade decided to let the bales burn out in a controlled manner to prevent a larger fire. Fortunately, further straw rents remained unaffected in the field.

The police have already started the cause of the fire and asks witnesses who have seen suspicious people to report on 02922-91000. It is important that the community works together to educate such incidents and identify possible perpetrators.
