A 50-year-old man was injured when his eight-ton excavator tipped over a grid box and fell outside the excavation pit. The fire brigade had to intervene to free it from the driver's cab. He was brought to a clinic with a hand injury.

less dramatic but still remarkable was a police operation in Wittlingen, where six young people were temporarily arrested after a suspicion of burglary.
