Car accident on B317: 73-year-old goes to oncoming traffic!

A serious traffic accident occurred on Friday evening, February 21, 2025, on the federal road 317, when a 73-year-old driver got on oncoming traffic and collided with a 20-year-old driver on the side. The accident happened around 6:15 p.m. near the Maulburg-Mitte junction. Witnesses report that the older driver apparently lost control of his vehicle for medical reasons.

The consequences are serious: the 73-year-old was immediately taken to a hospital by the emergency services, while both vehicles were totally damaged and had to be towed. The property damage is estimated at around 10,000 euros. In addition to the emergency services and the police, the fire brigade was also used to secure the scene of the accident.
