Tree trunk meets forest worker: police investigated for injury!

A 22-year-old forest worker was slightly to medium-sized during work in a forest near Oberankenreute. While a 24-year-old fell a tree, he unintentionally fell on a rotten tree that was subsequently uprooted. The upper trunk of the rotten tree hit the 22-year-old on the head. Thanks to his protective clothing, however, he was spared serious injuries. The emergency services took him to the hospital. The police are now investigating the 24-year-old for negligent bodily harm.

On the same day, the batteries of a model railway in the basement of a residential building in Gutenbergstrasse sparked a fire, probably due to a technical defect. The volunteer fire brigade was able to quickly extinguish the fire and ventilated the basement, there were no injured people. A traffic accident occurred separately on Tuesday at the Leutkirch-Süd motorway junction, in which two people were slightly injured and property damage of around 25,000 euros was incurred. The police also investigated after a drone flew over a bungalow in a holiday park in Urlau, where an unknown perpetrator apparently took pictures of the residents. Relevant information is requested.
