Brand in Poppenweiler: garbage can sets a single -family house in flames!

In the early morning hours of April 24, 2025, around 4:30 a.m., the fire brigade was called for a fire in Siegelhäuser Strasse in Poppenweiler. A resident reported that a fire had broken out near a single -family house, presumably favored by a burning garbage can. The flames quickly spread to the roof lead of the house, which required the fire brigade quickly. To delete all embers, the roof had to be partially covered.

The property damage is estimated at around 20,000 euros. The 64-year-old and the 70-year-old resident of the house were taken to the hospital as a precaution, but were able to quickly return to their apartment. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and the police investigation are underway.
