Roofing fire in Lippe: Technical defect ensures 150,000 euros in damage

On Sunday afternoon, February 2, 2025, around 2 p.m. a fire broke out in the attic of a house on the street "Im Sandkamp". A 55-year-old resident was pointed out to the fire by alarming smoke detectors and had to be brought to the clinic with minor injuries. The fire brigade was quickly on site and successfully took over the extinguishing work.

First investigations by the criminal police indicate that a technical defect in the electronics in the bedroom of the upper floor was the trigger for the fire. The property damage incurred amounts to around 150,000 euros.
