An 88-year-old driver had a tight encounter with fate on Tuesday afternoon when she was traveling on a dirt road next to the B311 from Untermarchtal to Obermarchtal. Shortly after 1 p.m. she lost control of her VW and crashed into a metal post that was torn out of its anchoring, including concrete base! Fortunately, the senior citizen was not injured, while the vehicle lost operating materials.

The Obermarchtal fire brigade was quickly on hand to recover the vehicle and secure the leaked liquids. The total damage is estimated at around 5,500 euros. A clear, dramatic incident that shows how fast it can go!
