Fire drama in Memmingen: Cars in flames - perpetrators wanted!
In the early morning of February 3, 2025, a dramatic vehicle fire broke out in downtown Memmingen. A parked car was almost completely destroyed by rapidly gripping flames, and an adjacent advertising poster was not spared. 18 brave firefighters from the Memmingen fire brigade were deployed to extinguish the inferno and were able to successfully prevent overhauling to neighboring buildings. Overall, there was a damage extent of around 25,000 euros.
Fortunately, no people were injured in the incident, which is why a rescue transport car provided was not used. The investigation into the explanation of the fire is already underway, with the first information of officers from the Memmingen police inspection and the crime service. The responsible commissioner of the Memmingen criminal police inspection takes over the further investigations.
