Fire brigade use on A1: Gevelsberger delete blazing truck fire!

On Saturday afternoon, a dramatic truck fire broke out on Bundesautobahn 1 in Gevelsberg. The fire brigade was alerted to the “Bruchmühle” rest area, where a tractor was already in full fire and the fire threatened to attack the trailer loaded with wood. With a huge contingent of around 40 emergency services, including respiratory protection teams, the Gevelsberg fire brigade moved in.

The emergency services immediately searched for possible people in the vehicle. Fortunately, the all -clear could quickly be given: the driver could not be found and nobody was in the truck anymore. This enabled the firefighters to concentrate entirely on fire fighting and prevent the flames from spreading. An additional tank fire engine was requested to support the water supply. The fire was deleted after around 90 minutes and the criminal police took over the investigation into the cause of the fire.
