Great fire in the recycling center: Fire Brigade Mülheim successfully in action!

on Saturday morning, around 11 a.m., the Mülheim fire department on the Ruhr was called to a fire in the disposal company in the Dümpten district. A bunch of plastic waste had caught fire in one of the halls. The cause of the fire is so far unclear. The emergency services were instructed by employees of the company and used a wheel loader to pull the burning waste apart and better to achieve the embers.

Two squads, equipped with breathing apparatus, finally deleted the fire. The firefighters also received support from the fire protection of Salzgitter Mannesmann Grobblech GmbH in setting up the extinguishing water supply. After about two and a half hours, the operation was successfully completed and the situation could be considered under control. No injuries were reported.
