Great fire in Möllbergen: Fire brigade fights against blazing flames!

On Tuesday evening, March 11, 2025, the Porta Westfalica volunteer fire brigade was called for a dramatic apartment fire in Möllbergen. Around 10:27 p.m., the district control center reported the alarming use, in which a building in full fire could already be seen on the way. It is a former farmhouse that was badly damaged by a major fire in April 2024. This time an outbuilding burned on the neglected area that is littered with garbage and rotting building material.

The fire brigade had to struggle with difficult conditions - the dense vegetation made access to the site significantly difficult. Emergency forces had to use chainsaws to create access to the building, which is at risk of collapse. Supporting steel girders turn through dangerously, which made it impossible to enter the building. Despite the challenges, the firefighters did everything possible to combat the fire and contain the dangers.
