Large deployment in Langenhorn: Fire alarm in residential accommodation!

On Sunday evening, April 27, 2025, a devastating fire broke out in a residential accommodation in the youth park path in Hamburg-Langenhorn, which triggered a massive reaction from the fire brigade. The fire brigade control center reached several emergency calls and reported not only the fire, but also a strong smoke development, which was even observed by Hamburg Airport. The head of the operations immediately increased the alarm to a major fire with two extinguishing trains and the urgent danger to human life.

When the emergency services arrived, the flames blazed at several places in the roof area of the container -like accommodation. Despite initial fears, no other people in the building had been suspected after those present were spotted by the emergency doctor. Due to the numerous injuries, the fire brigade immediately requested additional ambulances and declared a mass incidence of injuries. A total of 25 people were looked after, eight of whom had to be transported to surrounding hospitals. At around 1 a.m., the fire site was finally checked extensively without further embers.
