This Saturday, the Solingen fire brigade was called to a dramatic fire in a three -storey residential building on Heiligenstock corner Düsseldorfer Str. Together, around 40 emergency services with 13 vehicles move out when black swaths of smoke from an apartment swell on the 1st floor. There is a desperate man on the balcony who is immediately brought to safety with a turntable ladder.

Two troops under heavy breathing protection fight over the stairwell. While the fire is fought, two people have to be examined on site, but fortunately remain unharmed. The affected apartment is now uninhabitable and the tenant is housed in other ways by the Housing City Service. All other residents can return to their apartments after smoke extraction and checking for pollutants. An impressive use of the fire brigade, the worse prevented!
