Great fire in Schalke: Fire Brigade Gelsenkirchen saves intact residents!

In the early morning hours of May 2, the Gelsenkirchen fire brigade was called for a spectacular fire in a 4½-storey residential and commercial building at 01:15. When the emergency services arrived, flames were already flown out of the windows, and dense smoke filled the air. Fortunately, there were no more people in the building at this point.

With a respiratory protection squad and a jet tube, the firefighters managed to quickly control the flames. After deleting the fire, ventilation measures were initiated immediately to drive away the smoke. All apartments in the affected and adjacent buildings were carefully checked, but the risk of fire could be successfully contained - nobody was injured.
