Mysterious accident on the BAB 81: Witnesses wanted for dangerous crash!

On Saturday, February 1st, 2025, there was a spectacular rear -end collision on the BAB 81 in the direction of Heilbronn. A 30-year-old driver of a VW Passat had to slow down when an unknown car suddenly changed lane. A 49-year-old driver of an Opel Astra was not able to react in time and crashed into the rear of the Passat with full force. Another impact followed shortly afterwards: A 29-year-old Skoda Fabia driver had not kept enough distance and also crashed into the Opel.

The dramatic scenes took place at 8:09 a.m. when the Opel Astra even started to burn during the first aid of the participants. The fire brigade and emergency services were alerted and were quickly on site. Fortunately, all inmates were unharmed, but the material damage is enormous - around 37,500 euros the estimated costs amount to. Both the Opel and the Skoda are now total damage and had to be towed. The police are now urgently looking for witnesses who can provide information about the fleeting person who caused the accident. Anyone who has information is asked to contact the Ludwigsburg traffic police.
