Scheunenbrand in Neukirchen-Vluyn: Fire brigade fights against flames!

In the early morning hours of May 2, 2025, the fire brigade Neukirchen-Vluyn was alerted to a devastating barn fire in Heckrathstrasse at around 4:40 a.m. The massive smoke development was already clearly visible on the way. When the first emergency services arrived, the barn, in which straw was stored, already burned.

All fire brigade were mobilized to initiate immediate extinguishing measures and set up betting positions in order to prevent spreading to adjacent buildings. Due to the prompt use, a neighboring stable with poultry was successfully protected. The extensive operational measures are still ongoing and further information can be expected during the day.
