Heavy truck accident on the BAB3: drivers caught, rescue is running!

In the early morning hours of May 1, 2024, at 3:32 a.m., a serious traffic accident occurred on the BAB3 towards Cologne, kilometer 69.5, in which several trucks were involved. Dramatic scenes developed when a driver was caught in his vehicle and were immediately alerted rescue and recovery workers.

emergency services, fire brigade and police are on site with a large contingent to cope with the situation. Measures to exemption the driver and to clarify the cause of the accident are currently ongoing. There is still no information about the exact background of the accident.
