On Monday morning there was a serious accident on Landstrasse 356 between Mackenbach and Weilerbach. A 38-year-old who drove towards Mackenbach lost control of her Toyota Corolla at around 7 a.m. and crashed head-on to a BMW station wagon. Both drivers-the Toyota driver and a 33-year-old BMW driver-were injured and had to be taken to the hospital.

The force of the impact was so violent that both vehicles were no longer ready to drive and had to be towed. Rescue workers and fire brigade were on site to remove expired operating materials. The road was completely closed during the accident recording, which led to massive traffic jams in the morning rush hour. The 38-year-old is now faced with negligent assault.
