Serious traffic accident on the A17: a fatality, several injuries!

A serious traffic accident occurred on May 7, 2025 on the A17 when a car collided with a truck. The impact was so violent that the car was thrown onto the road and the truck crashed into the middle guideline, where it came to a standstill. Five people, including four adults and one child, were trapped in the vehicle. The truck driver was unharmed, but is under the shock.

emergency services were quickly on site to supply the injured. Two emergency doctors, including a team of the rescue helicopter Christoph 71, transported the injured in Dresden clinics. It was only after the injured stabilized that the fire brigade was able to rescue the deceased person from the wreck. The exact course of the accident is currently being examined by the police, while the A17 is completely blocked in the direction of Prague. The last free departure for drivers is Dresden-Südvorstadt.
