Low loaders get stuck under the bridge: fire brigade in use!

At noon, the Mönchengladbach fire brigade was alerted to an accident when a low loader with a construction machine got stuck under a railway bridge. Hydraulic lines were damaged, which led to an exit of hydraulic oil. Firefighters hurried on the spot and scattered the oil to prevent the sewage from getting into the sewage system. As a precaution, the emergency manager of the railway interrupted train traffic until a structural engineer had examined the bridge.

The cooperation with the construction company made it possible to adapt the height of the construction machine so that the low loader could finally be driven out again. Fortunately, there were no injuries in this incident. A specialist company was commissioned to clean the street while the police started investigations into the course of the accident. The bridge remained temporarily closed, which led to traffic disruptions and delays in train traffic. Several fire engines were in action and the head of the operations was a fire department man Yannic Linnemann.
