A dramatic traffic accident shook Soest last Friday evening! At 10:00 p.m., a 39-year-old man from Hamm, who overtook a witness at high speed, crashed against a street tree. The impact was so violent that his BMW was hit into pieces and parts of the vehicle also damaged an uninvolved car.

The police quickly found that the driver was heavily alcoholic. He got away with minor injuries, but his driver's license is now gone! A blood sample was taken and criminal proceedings were initiated. The fire brigade had to secure expiring operating materials, while the Hammer Landstrasse was closed in both directions. A chaos that stretched over more than 70 meters!
