Traffic chaos on A5: dramatic accident with seriously injured!

A serious traffic accident shook the federal highway 5 towards the south on Sunday morning, immediately after the Kronau junction! Around 9:45 a.m. there was a serious side collision between a 38-year-old Hyundai driver and a Volvo, occupied by six people. The contact was so violent that the Volvo was rejected from the road, broke through the guardrail and overturned in the adjacent field!

The 49-year-old driver of the Volvo suffered serious injuries and had to be freed from the wreck with the help of the fire brigade. He was flown to the hospital with a rescue helicopter. Fortunately, his wife (39) and the four children aged 8, 13, 18 and 19 years suffered only minor injuries and were also taken to the hospital. The person who caused the accident, the 38-year-old driver of the Hyundai, also wore minor injuries. The property damage is estimated at around 40,000 euros. Dramatic scenes on the highway - that's the horror of a Sunday morning!
